Jesus Saves the Lost

Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

The tremendous beauty of the gospel is that God the Father, sent God the Son, to seek and save those who are lost and trapped in sin, death, and darkness. This is every Christian’s story — that God came looking for us and invited us into the joy of His salvation.

Like any gift, it is easy for us grow numb to the initial surprise of grace. As we grow numb, we often lose delight in depending on Jesus and passion for bringing the gospel to those who haven’t experienced the life-transforming love of Christ.

Prayer is one of the ways that we cultivate this: delighting dependency in Christ and a passionate boldness to proclaim His good news.
