Break the Soil Prayer Guide - 4th Gathering

*Each Wednesday in April we are inviting the church to fast and gather with us to pray at three different times and locations (all are welcome). This the prayer guide for our gatherings today:

Hosea 10:12, “Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.”

We have gathered here to pray that God would break the soil in our lives, in our church, and in our community.

  • Father, give us ears to hear where you are leading.

    • Adoration: Praise God that He speaks to us.

    • Confess: What voices you often listen to instead of God.

    • Thanksgiving: Give thanks that Jesus holds us close when we try to run.

    • Supplication: Ask God to give you greater sensitivity to his voice.

  • Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)

    • Jesus, would I know the rest you promise?

    • Jesus, make my children restless until they find their rest in you.

      • Pray for them by name.

    • Jesus, would you save _______________?

      • Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with this person.

      • Pray that God would soften their hearts to the good news.

      • Pray that the Spirit would open the eyes of their heart.

  • Give Thanks together!

    • Celebrate how God has been answering your prayers!

    • Thank God together for how he is working in your life this last month.

    • Thank God together for how you are seeing him work in the lives of others this last month.
