This is the day between the crucifixion and the resurrection. It is a day of silence, a day where we feel the sorrow and sadness that claimed death had won and God was dead.

Questions

→ Has there been a time in your life when it seemed that God has gone silent?

→ Where are you longing to hear God speak in your life, in your home, and in our community?

Prayer

“Father, sometimes it’s as if all I hear is crickets. I come to you crying out for help, for you to intervene, and it seems as if its as quiet as a graveyard. I need you to give me hope in the silence, that Resurrection day is coming.”

Prayer Points

  • Adoration: Praise God that He is there even in the silence.

  • Confession: Confess where you feel abandoned.

  • Thanksgiving: Give thanks that Resurrection day is coming.

  • Supplication: Ask the Spirit to give you hope, even in the silence.
