Let's Celebrate the Women of Mosaic Church
I have to say that I would not be the man that I am if it weren’t for God’s powerful use of faithful women in my life. My mother, my wife, my female colleagues, and friends have been used by the Lord over the course of my life to form Godliness, virtue, and character into me.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day and next week is Mosaic’s Digital Women’s Retreat and I just have to say this: God be praised for the women in our church and in our city! May the Lord continue to bless you with dignity, honor, and joy.
The church of Christ should stand out as a beacon of light in the midst of a world that is regularly marginalizing and dehumanizing women. The church should be a place where women are celebrated as image-bearers of God, as treasured sisters in Christ and as crucial partners in the work of the kingdom of God.
We want to be a place that blesses, encourages, empowers, trains, and equips women to be the crucial partners that they are. To that end, next weekend (May 15-16), we are hosting a digital retreat for the women of Mosaic Church with Dr. Ashley Hales.
The hope is that a short session on Friday evening and Saturday morning will be a blessing to you, an encouragement in the midst of a sea of transitions and responsibilities and an opportunity to pull away for a moment and be encouraged.
To that end: I want to exhort the men at Mosaic. Create space for your wives and the mothers of our church to be able to participate. Plan to take over meals and kiddos that weekend, when necessary, so that wives and moms can be free of distractions. Even better, why don’t you consider giving them freedom from those responsibilities all day on Friday or Saturday.
You can register for this event here.
Love you all
